Lost in the Unknown

Do you ever find yourself wondering what God wants to do with your life or what your purpose is? Do you feel lost and confused and like your life is "on hold?"

In these moments, God wants us to fix our eyes on Him and He will direct our path. These are the moments of consecration, commitment, fasting, prayer, worship, and completely bringing us out of our comfort zone.

During the year of 2013, my family and I made a transition to change churches. We went to another Apostolic church that was 45 minutes away from our home. In this time, I sought after God and His will. I wanted so much more than what I already had. It led me away from my family and down a path that I thought, "WOW, God!, why would you take me away from my family and a comfortable place?" But that wasn't what God wanted for me. I moved to another local Apostolic church confused but wanting the will of God so bad. This church had different things from where I came from and grew up with. God truly worked on me and He still does. I did not understand what they did or why they did things the way they do but the longer I've went to this church, God continues to reveal to me so much more than I ever expected. There is SO much more to this walk with God than I expected. So much beauty and life. This walk is more than just prayer every other day or attending a conference each year. It's a buildup of praying, reading, fasting, conferences, conventions, meetings, camps, prayers meetings, bible studies, worship services, meeting new people, serving food to the community; this faith is choosing the uncomfortable to be made whole.

I challenge you today, that if you feel confused and you do not know the path to take, just trust God. Trust that He has the path ahead of you and He will take you where you need to be. Praise God in your storms because it brings the blessings. If you feel lost and afraid of the future, lean on Jesus.

Matthew 6:26 says, “Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?”
This verse always comforts me knowing that the God that created the Heavens and the Earth, that gave me breath, also feeds the tiny little birds because He cares for them. Even so God cares for the Birds, God cares SO much more about His children!

You are an anointed young lady, Alexis. Just as you wrote this blog with faith that it would touch someone, keep that same faith that God will continue to use you. So many people fail to see the life in many of their unfortunate circumstances. We tend to forget that serving our community is also part of our Christian lifestyle and I am thankful that you see that. Always remember to never be selfish with what God has given you.
When you are in need, God blesses you.
When others are in need, God can use you.
I love and pray for you.
